Raise your hand

If you'd like to say something without cutting in, you can now raise your hand, with the new button or Cmd/Ctrl + G. Everyone sees it on your tile, numbered in the order the hands went up, and it comes down by itself once you've been talking for a few seconds.

Schedule sessions

A session can have a date now. podsink opens the invitation ready to go in Google Calendar or Outlook, or hands it to you as an .ics file, with the link and a few tips for your guests already in it. You send it from your own calendar. Scheduled sessions wait at the top of your sessions list. podsink never sees your guests' addresses, and a new chapter in the docs explains how we keep personal data to a minimum.

The FAQ has its own page

All questions and answers now have a page of their own, and the menu links to it. The home page keeps a selection of them.

Easier to find your way on your phone

On a phone, the menu now has everything the top bar shows on a bigger screen: login, sign-up, pricing, the FAQ and the docs. It opens across the full width and marks the page you're on.

September 29, 2026

What's new as a feed

This page has an RSS feed now, so new entries show up in your feed reader. Every entry also has its own link, the ¶ next to its title.

Clips end where the recording does

If someone leaves before the take is over, their clip in the Reaper, Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro projects now stops where their recording stops. Before, it ran on silent to the end of the take. Nothing was ever missing or out of sync, the clip was just longer than its recording. Now the project is simply a little tidier.

Delete markers

You can now delete chapter and edit markers you no longer need, right from the marker panel during the session.

A page for what's new

podsink now has this page. New features and fixes you'd notice are listed here by day, newest first. You'll find the link in the menu at the top.

September 24, 2026

Documentation with search

podsink now has proper docs, with a chapter for every part of the product and a search that covers the FAQ too.

September 12, 2026

Leave without losing your upload

Guests get a Leave button. If some of their recording is still on the way, it finishes on the uploads page instead of getting cut off.

Ending a session asks first

Before a session ends for everyone, podsink asks. The dialog shows who's still there, what has landed and what's still sitting on someone's device.

Name your passkeys

Passkeys can be renamed right in the account page, so you can tell your laptop from your phone.

Live Listen buffers more efficiently

Live Listen buffers more efficiently now, so a short hiccup in the connection is less likely to reach the listener's ears.

August 29, 2026

Upload health for the host

As host you see a small mark next to every participant that tells you at a glance whether their recording keeps up with the upload.

August 28, 2026

A page for unfinished uploads

If a recording didn't make it to the server before the tab closed, a banner points you to /uploads, where it finishes.

Better handling of broken or missing pieces

podsink now spots pieces of a track that arrive broken or not at all, and deals with them better. A missing piece is filled with silence in its place, so the rest of the track stays in sync.

Clickable links in the chat

Links in chat messages are clickable and open in a new tab, so the session keeps running.

July 31, 2026

Better recovery during a session

When the connection drops, podsink now rebuilds the call on its own. If that doesn't do it, the banner offers a rebuild button instead of a page reload, and never a reload while a take is running.

July 27, 2026

Live Listen (beta)

Share a link and people can listen to the session live, without joining it.

July 26, 2026

Recording quality follows the host

The host sets the video quality for the session, and every camera follows it, also when it changes between takes. Anyone can still go lower for themselves.

May 28, 2026

Video up to 2160p

Video recording got reworked and goes up to 2160p now.

May 23, 2026

Clock drift found and fixed

Some devices record a little too fast or too slow. podsink notices during the take and warns the host, and the WAV in the download comes out corrected.

Your mic and camera choices are remembered

The mic, camera and self-view you picked are still set the next time you open a session.

May 11, 2026

A waiting room for guests

Guests land in a waiting room first, where they can check their mic and camera before they join.

A media server instead of direct connections

Calls now run through our media server instead of every browser connecting to every other one. That's more stable with several people, and everyone sends their picture and sound once, so the upload a guest needs doesn't grow with the size of the room.

May 3, 2026

podsink follows your default microphone

Switch the default mic in your system settings and podsink switches with it.

April 30, 2026

Uploads continue when you rejoin

Leave in the middle of an upload, come back to the session, and it picks up where it stopped.

April 26, 2026

A countdown before every take

Every take starts with a short countdown, so everyone can get ready for the recording to start.

April 19, 2026

DaVinci Resolve

The Premiere Pro timeline in the download also opens in DaVinci Resolve, video included.

April 16, 2026

Auto gain as a switch

Auto gain control can be switched on for your mic. It's off by default on a computer, so you get the clean signal.

April 15, 2026

A level meter for your mic

The mic menu shows a level meter with green, yellow and red zones, so you can see at a glance if you're too quiet or too loud.

Change your mic during a take

You can switch to another microphone while recording, without stopping the take.

Change or cancel your plan yourself

Change your plan or cancel it without writing to us.

April 12, 2026

Upload status for every participant

The host sees how far each participant's upload is, and a new take waits until the last one is in.

Camera resolution setting

You can pick the resolution your camera records in.

Screen share recorded

A shared screen is recorded as its own track.

A reminder before recordings are deleted

You get an email before a session's recordings are deleted, so there's time to download them.

April 11, 2026

Markers in the REAPER project

The REAPER project in the download carries your markers.

April 9, 2026

Video recording

Every participant's camera is recorded on their own device in full quality, as its own track next to the audio.

Your recording is kept on your device

Everything you record stays in your browser until the server has it. A dropped connection or a crashed browser doesn't cost you the recording, and the upload picks up again later.

April 8, 2026

Floating self-view

Your own picture can float as a small window you drag anywhere in the session.

April 5, 2026

Timelines for Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro

The download comes with ready timelines for Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro.

April 3, 2026

Quick shortcuts

Single keys for the things you do all the time, like muting or setting a marker, instead of a Cmd or Ctrl combination. You switch them on in the shortcut list.

Echo cancellation as a switch

Echo cancellation is off by default, so your voice isn't processed on the way in. If you're not on headphones, you can switch it on.

April 2, 2026

Who's talking

A small round indicator on a participant's tile shows when they're speaking.

March 29, 2026

A quick tour

A short tour of the session, reachable from the menu any time you're not recording.

March 18, 2026

Chat

A text chat inside the session.

March 13, 2026

podsink is live

Record a podcast in the browser, with every voice on its own track in lossless quality. It comes with a video call, several takes per session, chapter and edit markers, screen sharing, a mirrored self-view and keyboard shortcuts. If someone drops out, they can rejoin the session.
