Documentation
Here's everything podsink does, all in one place. The chapters are on the left, and the search field above them looks through all of them at once, the FAQ included.
Where to start¶
If you're new, What podsink is explains in a few paragraphs what podsink does and what it leaves to your editing software. If someone sent you a link to a recording, You've been invited is written just for you, and it's pretty much all you need.
Hosts carry on with Sessions for the room itself and In the session for the controls, the chat, the markers and the keyboard shortcuts. Before your first recording with guests, Devices and browsers is worth a read too. It covers which browsers work, why headphones make such a difference, and what the microphone menu's "System default" does.
What comes out¶
Upload explains how the recording gets from each device to the server and what to do if it doesn't finish. Download lists every file in the ZIP, and Formats and quality explains what those files are made of. DAW import then gets them into Reaper, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or whatever you edit with.
Plans and billing¶
Plans puts the four tiers side by side and explains how recording hours are counted. Billing covers Paddle, invoices, cancelling and refunds.
When something's off¶
Troubleshooting goes through the usual problems one by one. Where the app has a button for a problem, the page says so.
When the docs are wrong¶
These pages are written against the code and checked sentence by sentence, but podsink keeps moving. If a page says something the app doesn't actually do, we'd be glad to hear about it at hello@podsink.com, with the page and the sentence. To us that's a bug like any other.
